Kazakhstan or Bust!

We just got our first visa! Sebastien and I both have shiny Kazakh visas in our passports courtesy of the Kazakh embassy in Ottawa.


Just a few more to go - six to be exact! We're going to apply for our Russian visa in Ottawa next, then send our passports along to Washington, D.C. to get our visas for Uzbekistan, Tajikistan and Kyrgyzstan. Perhaps not surprisingly, these countries don't maintain an embassy in Ottawa. Once we get those back, we'll apply for our final two visas (which are only valid for 3 months from the date of issue) for Azerbaijan and Mongolia.


Here's hoping I didn't mess up on timelines and we get all of them before our flights leave in July! Fingers crossed.
